ISRS is pleased to announce the publication of a new Wiley book “River Science; research and management for the 21st century” The editors and contributors of the book are mainly made up of ISRS members. The book hopefully reflects the current status of river science and its contribution to sound management of rivers
The book was written to celebrate the contribution Professor Geoff Petts has made to the field of river science. All contributors to the book are colleagues, collaborators, former PhD students and friends of Geoff. Over the past 40 years Geoff has been a leading light in the field of river science and the ISRS. Geoff has been president of ISRS and was awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award in River Science by the Society in 2009.
